Dr. Praveen Narayan Gadsing is a passionate Pediatric Surgeon practicing surgery since last 15 years. He is well known for successfully performing complex surgeries, high risk cases and correcting congenital deformities. A gold medallist in MCh (Paediatrics), he also holds degree in Hospital Management and Diploma in Medico-legal Cases.
In order to unite medical fraternity for expanding quality healthcare services for all, eliminating unhealthy competition and promoting ethical practices, Dr. Gadsing initiated the “Co-operative to Corporate” movement. As on date, 200+ doctors have joined hands to set up joint ventures through collaborative efforts. This is further strengthened through the concept of “Business behind Business” which is not only resulting in reduction in cost of healthcare but also leading to significant employment generation. Through the concept of “Local Corporates”, affordable hospitals providing corporate services at local level are being set up.
The initiatives have resulted in 2 private limited companies, 6 hospitals, 3 diagnostic centres, a pharma company and a non-profit organisation.
One of the few doctors with entrepreneurial spirit, Dr. Gadsing gained significant insights in financial literacy over a period. Having learnt the lessons in hard way through relentless efforts, he is focusing on generating awareness about financial literacy for the benefit of masses at large.
